Replacement done in Hayes UB4: Casement windows, Bay window, Composite door
New windows can completely update the aesthetic of a property, becoming one of the easiest ways to give the exterior of your home an overhaul. That’s what our client chose to do at their house in Hayes recently.
How the Project went:
The client had grown tired of their old windows and door, many of the frames had become discoloured and the door’s locking mechanism was dysfunctional. The client was keen to have a symmetrical look for the bay and single windows so we recommended adding dummy vents which makes all of the vents the same size regardless of if they open or not, this creates a uniform look which is considerably more aesthetically pleasing than how the old windows were configured. Another issue for the client was privacy, they wanted more privacy than what their current curtains offered therefore we recommended that they have integral blinds in all the glass units which would allow them to easily control how much of the interior of the house could be viewed from the outside.
As well as this the integral blind units reduced maintenance compared to the curtains and helped create a more modern looking property. Finally the door was a big issue as the locking mechanism was faulty, we recommended to the client to replace it with a composite door to provide a brand new look as well as increased levels of security. We provided a brochure for the client to choose from and worked together to create a door that would suit their requirements, the result being this gorgeous chimaera door with a long handle in slate grey. This job took 2 days to complete and really transformed the look of this property, the clients were especially happy with the blinds.
